How do I book work or make a quotation enquiry?

You can contact us through our website, by email, or by phone. We’ll discuss your project, arrange a site visit if needed, quotation and provide a clear plan and quote before any work begins.

Are you insured and accredited?

Yes. ICD Contracting Ltd is fully insured and operates to high industry, safety, and environmental standards. Training and certification are kept up to date for all staff and operators.

Do you take on small jobs?

We regularly help with small drainage fixes, fencing, track tidying, ditching, land clearing, or  groundworks for private clients and smallholders.

How do you ensure environmental protection during your work?

Environmental care is central to all our projects. We use low-impact machinery, follow strict working methods, protect sensitive habitats, and plan each job to minimise disturbance. For restoration work, we aim to leave the land healthier and more stable than before.

What types of machinery do you use?

We operate a range of modern diggers, tracked machines, low-ground-pressure equipment, quad/UTV setups, and specialised tools suited for forestry, wet ground, and remote access. All machinery is operated by trained and experienced staff.

Do you offer free quotes?

Yes. We provide free, no-obligation quotes for all types of work. Depending on the project, we may visit the site to assess the land and discuss the best approach before providing a detailed estimate. Organise a quotation here.

Can you help with peatland restoration projects?

Yes. ICD Contracting is experienced in peatland restoration, rewetting, ditch blocking, bunding, hag reprofiling, and sensitive machinery work in fragile areas. We work closely with environmental bodies and follow best-practice methods to support long-term peatland recovery.

What areas do you cover?

We are based in the Scottish Highlands and cover a wide area across the Highlands and surrounding rural regions. For larger projects, we can travel further depending on the requirements.

Do you provide work for film and TV productions?

Absolutely. ICD Contracting supports film and TV crews with temporary tracks, ground protection, set-ready earthworks, safe access, and complete post-filming reinstatement. We specialise in quality land alteration, construction and then returning the land to its original condition or better.

Do you work with small landowners as well as large estates?

Yes. We work with all sizes of landowners from smallholdings and crofts to large estates, farms, forestry owners, and conservation organisations. Every project is tailored to suit the land, budget, and long-term goals of the owner.

What services do you offer?

ICD Contracting Ltd provides a wide range of rural, environmental, and forestry services, including groundworks, peatland restoration, woodland management, access track construction, drainage, fencing, vegetation control, and support for film and TV productions. Our work spans small private sites through to large estates and conservation projects.

Are you Hiring?

ICD Contracting Ltd is growing, and we are often looking for reliable, hardworking people to join our team.
Our roles can include trainee plant operators, digger drivers, forestry workers, peatland restoration operatives, and general rural contracting positions.

Even if we don’t have a specific vacancy listed, we’re always happy to hear from individuals with a strong work ethic who are interested in outdoor, practical work within forestry, environmental projects, and rural land management.
